Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922) was an inventor, scientist and engineer of Scotish descent and is most famous for inventing the telephone. He was instrumental in implementing the roots for global telecommunications in the modern world and also had a hand in many other inventions & innovations, including the metal detector, photophones & hydrofoil.
